GIRLS THRIVE

BRAVE

BRILLIANT

BOLD

Kent Place School Strategic Plan Seal

Step onto campus and you feel it immediately. It’s an energy, a current, almost impossible to put into words. The air crackles with new ideas, fresh opportunities. Confidence is high, smiles are wide.

The feeling — and the fact — is that we’re thriving. The work we’ve done together over the past few years has put us in a position of strength. And that’s precisely why we’ve chosen this moment to go even further: braver, more brilliant, bolder.

Our Girls Thrive: Brave, Brilliant, Bold strategic plan is all about elevating and expanding excellence in every sense of the word. We will continue to offer an exemplary education, tailored to the talents, aspirations, and needs of girls. We will deepen our long-standing strength in ethical leadership, especially with the opening of the Leadership Center for Athletics, Wellness, and Performing Arts. To ensure that our students are at their best, we will build up systems and structures that bolster their health, well-being, and sense of belonging. And to underline the powerful impact and lifelong legacy of our Kent Place alumnae, we will strengthen our sisterhood.

This is how girls thrive.

Mission

Kent Place empowers girls to be confident, intellectual, and ethical leaders who advance the world.

Vision

We envision Kent Place as the defining institution for girls education, empowering our graduates to lead with ethical conviction, connection, and purpose at high levels of decision-making, influence, and responsibility.

Our Priorities

Priority 1

An Empowering Education

Academic excellence at Kent Place School is the pursuit of intellectual growth designed to empower girls to advance the world. This happens through challenging, durable, interdisciplinary, and purposeful learning experiences. Our community invites students to explore the human experience with agency, flexibility, and joy. The result is graduates who not only excel in the next stage of their education but also engage with intention: thinking deeply, acting ethically, and leading collaboratively and with confidence.

Priority 2

Leadership for Impact

Developing ethical leaders is at the heart of the Kent Place mission. All students should have the opportunity to become innovative leaders and community builders for good. This priority continues developing, supporting, and enhancing our leadership and ethics programs, which are designed to empower girls to act and make decisions rooted in curiosity, moral courage, and ethical thinking.

“This plan is an elevation of Kent Place, not a pivot. With our last strategic plan, we boldly put a stake in the ground around the excellence of Kent Place as an institution. This plan elevates it even further. We are confidently leaning into our future right now.”

“This plan positions Kent Place front and center in a rapidly evolving landscape. We will always be a leader on the academic front, but this plan also reminds people that well-being, joy, and service are equally valued in our community. This plan is really about how we ensure the best of those opportunities in a really intentional way so that girls can excel holistically.”

“Everyone has a space in this strategic plan to grow and thrive. It’s exciting to think about what more we can do, how we can push and find that next level while still maintaining who we are as an institution. We’re finding that balance between honoring tradition and embracing new possibilities.”
